Lemon Torte

"so good"

Ingredients

36 waverly crackers
1/3 cup melted butter or oleo

4 egg whites
1 cup sugar

1 can (1lb 6oz) Lemon pie filling
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

crush crackers and mix with butter, reserve 1/4 cup crumbs to sprinkle on top
Pat remaining crumb mixture into 9x13 pan

beat egg whites add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time
spread on top of crumbs and bake for 325 for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned
mix lemon pie filling with lemon juice and spread over filling
Top with whipped cream or cool whip
sprinkle remaining crumbs over top
Refrigerate
