Oatmeal Cake
Ingredients
1 cup quick oatmeal
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
Topping:
6 tbs butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 cup coconut
nuts
vanilla

Instructions
Mix oats and boiling water and set aside to cool.
Cream sugars and butter well, add the eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together, add creamed mixture.
Add oatmeal and mix well. Bake in greased and floured 9x13 pan at 350 for 45 minutes
put on topping and broil for 2 1/2 minutes.
