Corn Cob Jelly

Ingredients

12 dry red corn cobs, rinsed well and broken in half
3 cups sugar
1 package sure jell
1 Tbs lemon juice
3 pints of water, or more

Instructions

Boil cobs gently for 30 minutes
Strain trough wet cloth
measure juice to 3 cups
Add Lemon juice and pectin
bring to a boil, add sugar and dissolve
Boil 1 minute or until it jells,
Skim foam
Pour into jelly jars and seal with paraffin.
Add red food coloring.
