Anise Candy
Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1 cup karo syrup
1/2 cup water
3 tsp anise flavoring
1/2 tsp red food coloring
1 cup karo syrup

Instructions
Cook sugar, syrup and water to 300
Take off heat and add anise flavoring and food coloring.
Stir well and pour into buttered 9 inch square pan.
Make guidelines with buttered knife in candy when it starts to cool.
When cold, turn over and crack apart.
