Molasses Crinkle
A double batch!
Ingredients
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
4 Tbs molasses
1/4 tsp salt
2 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 cup brown sugar

Instructions
Cream shortening (I melt it. Author)
Add sugar and cream thoroughly
blend in beaten egg and molasses
measure flour
Mix together with all dry ingredients
stir into creamed mixture
Chill 1 hour or more
Shape into balls size of walnuts
Dip into sugar and cinnamon
Place unsugared side down on greased cookie sheet
Sprinkle with water (2-3 drops)
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 375.
